I would add my endorsement to Feed as well and while on the young adult recommendations can I add The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins. Everyone I have recommended this to has loved it. Sort of Lord of the Flies meets reality TV with a touch of Enders Game. The third book is not as strong as the first two but it is still satisfying. Currenly I am reading The Johnstown Flood by David McCullough. It is so fascinating if you are looking for some very readable nonfiction. I am full of book suggestions (especially since I do it for a living) so I better stop here :)
